Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC is seeking Direct Care Staff to support clients in San Luis Obispo and Grover Beach. No experience needed; we will train. 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. A valid Driver's License is required.

You'll assist with daytime activities, monitor personal care, encourage good hygiene, plan schedules, and document progress. Benefits begin day one with mileage reimbursement, and company-paid life insurance and dependent coverage after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in one-on-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daytime activities, monitor and teach personal care, and support hygiene and behavior.
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules to promote goal achievement for clients.
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes.

What you'll do:

• Assist, monitor, and teach individual(s) with preparation of daytime activities and encourage good personal hygiene and behavior appropriate in their home or apartment. These activities may include grocery shopping, menu planning, meal preparation, and clean up
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement for your clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes

• Experience working with individuals with behaviors IS A PLUS!
• Can problem solve and adapt to different client needs
• Are a strong communicator and dependable
• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings
