Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of Louisville is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide compassionate, client-centered personal care on-site in the Okolona area. You will support independence and quality of life for clients, while coordinating with a dedicated team to deliver tailored care plans in the Louisville area.

The role requires English fluency, experience with Hoyer lifts or CNA/PCA training, and reliable transportation within Louisville.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming (Hoyer Lift).
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to stimulate cognitive function.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation, personal hygiene, safe transfers, and a safe environment.
• Assist with medication reminders and errands as needed.
• Collaborate with office staff and family to adapt and implement person-centered care plans.

Job description

Role Overview:

As a Caregiver at Homewatch CareGivers of Louisville, you will be responsible for providing personal care to our clients, fostering their independence, while enhancing their quality of life. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our dedicated team to ensure each client receives needed compassionate and tailored support. You will work on-site at client’s Louisville area location, providing these essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist client with personal care tasks including bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming. (Hoyer Lift usage)
2. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to stimulate cognitive function.
3. Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation, personal hygiene, safe transfers, and ensuring a safe/clean environment.
4. Assist with medication reminders and errands as needed.
5. Collaborate with office staff and family members to adapt and implement person-centered care plans specific to individual client needs.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
2. Previous Hoyer (or similar) lift machine experience in an adult caregiving role or a related field is a plus.
3. Strong communication skills: excellent fluency in English is required.
4. Hoyer type lift experience and/or CNA or PCA training.
5. Reliable/insured transportation and willingness to travel within the Louisville area.

Excellent If You:

1. Ability to follow care plans and monitor clients' health and safety.
2. Are experienced in providing care for adults with specialized needs such as immobility, dementia or Parkinson’s.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position available 2 to 7 days a week.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Okolona Area of Louisville, Kentucky. Other clients may be available as well if desired.

Caregiver Retention Bonus:

Work at least 100 care hours in the first 3 months of employment with no call offs and receive Bonus of $250!
