Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of Louisville is seeking a PRN Caregiver to provide exceptional one-on-one care to clients in their homes and other locations. You will work with a caring team to tailor support to each client’s needs and help them maintain independence.

This role offers flexible full- or part-time PRN shifts across the Louisville area, with opportunities to build meaningful relationships and make a real difference in clients’ daily lives.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience caring for adults; Hoyer Lift experience is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• A clean background check.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Flexibility to accommodate clients’ schedules and needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a PRN Caregiver at Homewatch CareGivers of Louisville, you will be responsible for providing exceptional one-on-one care to clients in their homes and other locations. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with your team to ensure each client receives personalized support for their individual needs. You will have many opportunities to make positive impacts in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to clients, tailored to their specific needs.
2. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
3. Ensure clients receive medication reminders and other health-related support.
4. Transport clients to appointments or social activities as necessary.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, performing light housekeeping and laundry tasks.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Have at least 1 year of personal care experience caring for adults. Hoyer Lift experience is also a plus!

Bonus If You:

1. Have previous experience working as a caregiver, CNA, DSP, SRNA or PCA.
2. Possess specialized training in areas such as dementia care or stroke recovery.
3. Can provide references that speak to your caregiving skills.

Employment Type & Availability:

This PRN position requires full time or part-time availability Monday through Friday and/or weekends, days, evenings or overnights.

Location:

This position is on-site only at individual adult client's homes in Louisville, Kentucky area, specifically Jefferson and Oldham counties.
