Homewatch CareGivers of Louisville is seeking a part-time Senior Living Support Caregiver to assist seniors and adults in their homes around Louisville, KY. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and independence through compassionate, individualized care.

You will work with a care team to ensure clients are safe, engaged, and as independent as possible, with variable shifts including evenings and weekends.

About the Role

As a Senior Living Support Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, dependable support to seniors and adults who need assistance with daily activities. You will work closely with our care team to help clients remain safe, comfortable, engaged, and as independent as possible.

This is an on-site position providing care in the homes of senior adult clients throughout the Louisville, Kentucky area. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients while making a positive difference in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other personal care needs as appropriate.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan.
• Prepare meals, encourage proper nutrition and hydration, and assist with feeding when needed.
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and assistance maintaining a safe environment.
• Provide transportation and assistance with errands or appointments as assigned.
• Offer companionship, conversation, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate important changes in a client's condition or needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, facility staff, and the Homewatch CareGivers team to provide consistent, quality care.
• Promote client dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

You’re a great fit for this position if you:

• Have experience providing personal care or caregiving, particularly with seniors or adults with special needs; experience with adult care is preferred.
• Are compassionate, patient, dependable, professional, and genuinely enjoy helping others.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusting relationships with clients and their families.
• Can communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Have a valid full driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for client transportation.
• Are able to safely lift up to 40 pounds.
• Are comfortable providing personal care, companionship, transportation, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Can work independently while also being part of a supportive care team.
• Can follow individualized care plans and care instructions and communicate client concerns appropriately.
• Have flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Are committed to reliable attendance and providing consistent, high-quality care.
• Able to safely transfer an adult to/from a wheelchair.
• Have experience using a Hoyer style lift to transfer an adult.

Bonus If You Have

• Dementia care training or experience.
• CNA, SRNA, PCA or other relevant caregiving experience or certification.
• Experience working with seniors in home care, senior living, assisted living, or rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with technology used for communication, documentation, or client care.

Employment Details

Employment Type: Part-Time / PRN

Schedule: Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability. Morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts may be available.
