Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a customer-focused professional to deliver exceptional service and sound financial guidance to customers in a branch setting. You will collaborate with partners to identify referrals, promote digital channels, and address everyday banking needs, including credit cards and banking solutions.

The role emphasizes a needs-based conversation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across channels to enhance the customer experience and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Typically between 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
• Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
• Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
• Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team.
• Verbal & written communication skills - Good.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and guides customers as they walk into the branch lobby, and offers advice on digital and self-serve options.
• Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions.
• Collaborates with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships.
• Meets transaction-based needs with seamless execution.
• Reviews customer profiles and engages in needs-based conversations to address banking plans and credit card needs.
• Supports branch operations and risk/compliance processes to safeguard customer assets.
