What The Role Is

As a Personal Banker, you will provide best-in-class service by processing routine banking transactions while developing deep customer relationships and understanding their needs. You will identify and offer appropriate personal and business financial products, educate customers on alternative transaction channels, and assist clients with various needs in a cross-functional, universal banking model. This position is on-site and may require travel to branches within the market.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Support transactional needs and identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Open and process moderate to complex deposit accounts and provide solutions for cash flow management.
• Work effectively in a team environment with regular customer interactions.
• Limited origination of simple consumer lending products such as personal loans and credit cards.
• Educate customers on bank channels like online and mobile banking, interactive tellers, and ATMs.
• Meet or exceed sales and referral objectives.
• Handle cash and maintain proper balancing procedures.
• Stay informed about products, fees, policies, and current offers to assist customers effectively.
• Explore customer financial needs and refer them to appropriate bank services or departments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Participate in community activities and financial literacy initiatives to create positive community impact.

Who You Are

• Basic knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and relationship nurturing skills, even in challenging situations.

Education

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.

Experience

• Previous banking or sales experience in related fields is preferred.
• At least 2 years of cash handling experience in banking or retail is preferred.
