Job summary

Fifth Third is seeking a Retail Personal Banker I to join our team as part of a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The program concludes with certification to demonstrate readiness for the Retail Personal Banker role within the Financial Center and Bank Mart environments.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or, combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use the consultative sales process and financial needs assessment to identify customer needs and tailor solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Set appointments for periodic financial reviews using approved Marketing tools.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Refer customers to partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, Investment) for holistic solutions.
• Achieve customer experience and production goals while adhering to policies and risk controls.
