Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking Personal Bankers to build relationships, recommend and sell financial products, and provide solutions to help customers achieve financial well-being. You will train on UMB’s products and sales process, working closely with leaders to grow your career in consumer banking.

You’ll convert routine service requests into cross-sell opportunities, call leads, visit businesses for workplace banking, and develop referral networks while meeting daily metrics and complying with industry

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations that lead to sales or relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Willing to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to convert transactions into cross-sell conversations that deepen client relationships.
• Calling leads, visiting businesses to offer workplace banking, and developing referral networks.
• Achieving daily key performance metrics while balancing priorities.
• Learning processes like transactions, cash drawer management, and bank documentation per standards.
• Other job duties as assigned.
