Job summary

Primis Bank is seeking a customer-focused teller to handle transactions, open new accounts, and refer clients to specialists. In this role you will perform deposits, withdrawals, and inquiries while meeting sales goals and maintaining service standards.

You will support market center operations, balance cash drawers and adhere to regulatory guidelines. The position requires in-person attendance and reliable, consistent performance in a retail banking environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Customer service experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Sales experience including cross-selling is preferred.
• Previous retail bank experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer transactions and inquiries per bank standards, including deposits, check cashing, account holds and stop payments.
• Proactively conduct sales activities to offer solutions and meet sales goals.
• Refer customers to appropriate Primis staff to fulfill needs.
• Adhere to balancing standards and achieve satisfactory MIC scores.
• Process documents for services like foreign currency, direct deposits, wires and government bond transactions.
• Assist with ATM, vault, night depository and other market center duties as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of Primis products/services and CRM software.
• Attend in person and maintain reliable attendance.
