Job summary

Columbia Bank in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Personal Banker to deliver an exceptional client experience and expand client relationships. You will identify needs, offer appropriate banking products, and refer clients to business partners when needed.

You will also originate consumer lending and some small business lending opportunities. Responsibilities include opening consumer and business accounts, servicing cash handling, and supporting teller functions as needed, with a focus on expanding

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
1 year of Teller or banking experience is required.
Knowledge of Consumer products and services is expected.
Proficiency in consumer lending is required.
Ability to handle cash, balance accounts and drawers accurately.
Ability to obtain NMLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent client service by acknowledging clients and offering suitable products and services.
Engage clients in financial reviews to uncover needs and provide solutions.
Open Consumer and Business accounts for new and existing clients.
Originates Consumer loans independently and Business loans with minimal assistance.
Support teller functions and contribute to a team-oriented branch environment.
Refer clients to internal partners for a wide range of banking solutions.
