Job summary

Columbia Bank in Walnut Creek, CA is hiring a Personal Banker to deliver exceptional client experiences on site. You will acquire new clients, expand relationships, open accounts, and assist with cash transactions.

You will originate consumer loans and explore small business lending, respond to inquiries, and participate in client financial reviews. A HS diploma and 1 year banking experience are required; NMLS within 60 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of Teller or other banking experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of Consumer products and services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in consumer lending.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and balance drawers.
• Must obtain NMLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new and expand existing client relationships by identifying needs and offering appropriate products.
• Open Consumer and Business accounts for clients and refer to internal partners as needed.
• Originate Consumer loans independently and assist with small business lending opportunities.
• Provide proactive solutions and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Engage in client financial reviews to uncover additional financial needs.
• Assist Teller by handling cash transactions when required.
