First National Bank Texas is seeking an in-branch customer service representative tasked with handling cash transactions, deposits, and customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment. You will evaluate customer needs and promote bank products and services while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires flexible scheduling, reliability, and the ability to work with a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide exceptional customer service, handling receipts and payments in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow bank policies and supervisor directions.
• Aim for monthly new account production as assigned by management.
• Prospect in-store to drive sales in a busy environment.
• Process deposits and pay out funds accurately and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks, verify amounts, and check endorsements.
• Guard against counterfeit checks and IDs.
• Enter transactions and issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services to customers.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers.
• Attend to other tasks as requested by supervisors.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Description

• Under direct supervision, provide exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, while working in a high volume, sales environment.


• Evaluate new and existing customer relationships and recommend bank products and services to support their financial success


• Follow established policies in accordance with the bank and the supervisor s direction


• Accountable for the personal achievement of monthly new account production as assigned by upper management


• Participate in an active sales environment that may require in-store aisle prospecting


• Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with bank procedures, to record all transactions accurately and balance each day's operations


• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements


• Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks and identification


• Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts


• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, bank-to-bank wires, and certificates of deposit


• Process western union wires and cash advances


• Cross-sell bank services and products


• Provide bank services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish speaking population


• Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the bank and its functions


• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Approval limits will be based upon established authority levels

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Required to stand or walk for extended periods of time dependent upon branch location


• Ability to work in a high volume, stressful and noisy environment


• Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time


• Operate a computer and other office machinery


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
