Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay House at Aiken to support residents in a senior living environment. The role emphasizes compassionate care, daily living assistance, and engagement activities to promote wellness and quality of life.

The position requires a caring heart, a high school diploma or GED, and is flexible across weekends and holidays. CNA certification is preferred but not mandatory, with CPR/First Aid as a bonus and experience with older adults preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports assisted living and memory care residents with companionship, listening and activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, etc).
• Reports changes in health/status and records progress on daily data sheets.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership.
• Helps keep residents engaged and happy through activities.

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
