United Cerebral Palsy Heartland in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant/DSP for the Bellefontaine area. This 21 hours/week, part-time role offers $21.00 per hour with weekend shifts (Mon 4PM-10PM, Thu 3PM-11PM, Sat 3PM-10PM).

As a Direct Care Professional you will assist with daily tasks, support personal hygiene, organize activities, and follow medical orders including medication administration. Travel and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with disabilities or in customer service preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

CURRENT AVAILABLE SCHEDULE:

Bellefontaine Neighbors

MONDAY 4PM-10PM (FF/F)

THURSDAY 3PM-11PM (HC/E)

AND

SATURDAY 3PM-10PM (HC/E)

(21 Hours Weekly)

As a DSP (Direct Care Provider)you will perform the following responsibilities:

Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.

Follow medical orders and administer medications.

Most importantly,provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
• Valid Drivers’ license
• Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
• A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
