Job summary

UCP Heartland is hiring Personal Assistants (Direct Care Providers) for part-time evening shifts in Riverview, MO. The role focuses on providing compassionate, safe daily living support, including help with ADLs and community activities.

Shifts Fri and Sat 3PM-11PM (16 hours/week). Training is provided and paid by UCP Heartland. A clean driving record and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Clean Driving Record and successful completion of drivers training.
• Minimum one weekend shift per weekend.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field.
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assistance with daily tasks and help with personal hygiene.
• Facilitate activities and community outings.
• Follow medical orders and administer medications as directed.
• Assist with ADLs, lifting and transfers (incl. ceiling lifts, wheelchair repositioning).
• Document shift activities using Set-Works and perform light housekeeping.
• Interact with families and maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor.

(THIS IS A SET 16 Hour Weekly SCHEDULE)

As a PERSONAL ASSISTNAT/DSP (Direct Care Provider)you will perform the following responsibilities:

Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.

Follow medical orders and administer medications.

Assist with ADL's, Lift and Transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc), Adaptive Transportation.

Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping.

Will interact with family often. Please have a fun, outgoing and positive personality.

Most importantly,provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
• Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
• A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
• Good written and oral communication skills

THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!

THIS POSITION REQUIRES 5-7 DAYS OF MANDATORY TRAINING AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM

(UCP HEARTLAND WILL PAY YOU FOR THE MANDATORY TRAINING)
