Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Heartland is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant DSP to support individuals with disabilities in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role is 32 hours per week with Sunday through Wednesday 3PM–11PM shifts, providing daily living assistance and companionship.

The successful candidate will follow care plans, assist with personal care, mobility, and community activities, and ensure safety while promoting independence. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Clean driving record and completion of driver training.
• Minimum one weekend shift per week.
• Experience with disabilities or customer service preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

As a PERSONAL ASSISTNAT/DSP (Direct Care Provider)you will perform the following responsibilities:

Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.

Follow medical orders and administer medications.

Most importantly,provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
• Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
