Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. seeks a Persistent Chat Engineer (CLT) to collaborate across security, operations, product, engineering, and vendors. You will manage product lifecycles, drive design work, and deploy environments for enterprise-grade chat solutions in a financial services context.

You will own documentation, perform advanced testing, and participate in requirements reviews to ensure secure, scalable deployments and smooth transitions to operations.

Qualifications

• Enterprise level engineering experience, preferably in financial institutions.
• Experience with persistent chat apps; Mattermost or Rocket.Chat hosted on Linux.
• RHCSA certification is a plus.
• MySQL DBA/Development experience is desirable.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills are required.
• Tenacity and curiosity for developing new products.
• Experience with cloud-enabled instant messaging platforms (e.g., Symphony, Teams, Slack).
• Experience deploying apps to mobility frameworks (MAM/MDM).
• A team player with individual accountability for deliverables.
• Clear, unambiguous communicator; methodical and confident.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with security, operations, product, engineering and vendors to manage product lifecycle.
• Manage work items through JIRA and ensure timely updates.
• Develop low level designs to meet security requirements.
• Deploy low level environments and support transitions to operations.
• Create technical documentation and host trainings for deployment.
• Conduct advanced product testing and ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Participate in requirements reviews for feasibility and deployment.
• Represent technical requirements for launching new services.
• Attend backlog grooming and feature release planning meetings.
• Ensure non-Strategic Social and Chat products are decommissioned from enterprise.

Position Summary Persistent Chat Engineer

• Liaison with Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture and Vendors to manage product lifecycle, fixes, features and enhancements
• Workbook management through Product JIRAs
• Development of low level designs to meet bank requirements and security demands
• Deployment of low level environments
• Development of documentation and Hosting of training sessions to support the transition of new services into operations
• Advanced product testing
• Continual ownership for the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation
• Active participation in review of requirements for technical feasibility
• Represent technical requirements for the deployment of new services
• Participate in regular requirements meetings to groom backlog and agree feature releases
• Ensure all non-Strategic Social and Chat products are decommissioned from the Enterprise.

Required Qualifications
