Job summary

A leading IT consulting company is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer for a hybrid role in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years in feature lead roles within Agile environments, strong skills in Core Java and Spring Framework, and experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka. Responsibilities include developing quality features, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring juniors. This position offers up to $65/hr on a W2 basis and is expected to last for 12 months.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Feature Lead or similar role in Agile environments.
• Strong Core Java/J2EE skills including multithreading, collections, and JDBC.
• Experience in Spring Framework including Spring and Spring Camel.

Overview

JobTitle: Full Stack Java Developer
Location(s): Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Hourly pay: Up to $65/hr. W2 only

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end features with accountability for quality and timelines


• Lead low-level technical design, code reviews, and ensure enterprise standards


• Collaborate with Product Owner to maintain a healthy backlog with clear acceptance criteria


• Guide team on estimation, planning, work breakdown, and Agile best practices


• Ensure production readiness, performance optimization, and smooth deployments


• Support BAU and production issues, defect management, and release delivery


• Mentor team members and continuously improve team efficiency and throughput


• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Feature Lead or similar role in Agile environments


• Strong Core Java/J2EE (multithreading, collections, JDBC)


• Spring Framework (Spring, Spring Camel; limited Spring Boot)


• Messaging & streaming: RabbitMQ, Kafka


• Front-end: Angular and/or React


• Databases: Oracle 19c, MS SQL, strong SQL skills


• Experience with Voice/SMS/Email notification systems


• Hands-on production support and BAU experience


• Agile tools & practices: JIRA, Scrum/Kanban
