Job summary

Drees Homes is seeking a Production Assistant - Permitting in our Jacksonville Division to support the permitting and construction start processes with administrative tasks.

You will gather documents, liaise with municipalities and vendors, and help prepare start packages while maintaining accurate records and updating data in various software systems. This role offers growth within a family-owned homebuilder with a strong culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree is a plus.
• Experience in permit coordination, homebuilding, or municipal land development is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the permitting process by gathering documents and data, acting as liaison between the company and municipalities, vendors, and partners.
• Compile and complete start packages to be released to construction.
• Provide and process accurate paperwork to ensure timely construction starts.
• Update data in various software programs.
• Maintain files relating to the permitting process.
• Maintain starts reports and tracking software; prepare and distribute reports.
• Work with the Architecture Department to correct plan errors and ensure plan sets are complete.
