Job summary

City of Richland seeks an Engineering Technician to support permitting through plan reviews, interpreting complex drawings against municipal codes and regulations. The role involves roadway/utility design review, utility locating, and construction inspection under the Public Works umbrella.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, CADD or related field.
Five (5) years' experience in civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, construction inspection, or utility projects.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Responsibilities

Review drawings for compliance with City standards, municipal codes, and general engineering principles in roadway and utility design engineering and construction inspection support.
Check engineering calculations and information to review drawings and plans.
Write technical reports or letters to summarize plan review comments.
