Job summary

City of Richland is seeking a Plan Examiner in the Development Services Department. You will review commercial and residential building plans for code compliance and assist with plan reviews under supervision of the Building Official.

Requires valid driver’s license and ICC certification (Plans Examiner, or ability to obtain within six months). Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu is desirable. Regular full-time position open until filled.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and three (3) years' experience in plans examining, permitting, or building inspection, including one (1) year in building construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ICC certification as a Commercial Plans Examiner preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
