Job summary

City of Richland is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work in constructing and maintaining City streets, roads, shoulders, sidewalks, and railroad facilities. The role requires CDL Class A and multiple safety certifications; on-call rotation is required, with after-hours duties as needed.

The position emphasizes planning, documentation, equipment maintenance and adherence to MUTCD standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in streets construction and/or maintenance area(s), or closely related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled street maintenance and construction tasks.
• Install traffic signs, pavement markings and striping.
• Lead and train assigned entry-level staff on maintenance programs.
• Prepare traffic control plans and set up/teardown traffic control devices.
• Maintain street-related equipment and documentation of work.
