Job summary

La La Land Cafe is seeking a Permitting Manager to own entitlements and the end-to-end permitting process for new cafe locations. You will connect Construction, Architecture, and Engineering to move submittals efficiently, answer RFIs promptly, and keep openings on a predictable schedule as the company scales to 100+ locations.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of municipal, county, and state permitting processes across multiple states.
• 5+ years in permitting, entitlements, or construction coordination in multi-unit retail or hospitality.
• Experience working with architects, engineers, and contractors on commercial projects.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, submit, administer, and close out complex permit applications for new cafe projects.
• Track permits against a standardized timeline and flag risks before delays occur.
• Oversee permit fee budgeting, forecasting, and vendor payments.
• Manage a network of local permit expeditors across jurisdictions.
• Maintain relationships with municipalities and code officials.
• Provide status updates to leadership on entitlement progress and pipeline.
