Job summary

La La Land Kind Cafe is seeking a Permitting Manager to own the entitlements process end-to-end for new cafe locations. You will bridge Construction, Architecture, and Engineering, ensuring timely submittals, RFIs, and approvals as the company scales toward 100+ locations across multiple states.

You will develop standardized permitting workflows, cultivate jurisdiction relationships, and maintain a centralized tracking system to enable rapid opening timelines.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of municipal, county, and state permitting processes across multiple states.
• Ability to track and prioritize a high volume of concurrent projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with plan reviewers and officials.
• Proactive follow-up and escalation to avoid bottlenecks.
• Experience coordinating with third-party permit expeditors.
• Budgeting and forecasting permit fees; vendor payments.

Responsibilities

• Review, submit, and close out complex permit applications for new cafe projects.
• Track permits with a standardized timeline and flag delays.
• Manage permit fees forecasting, approvals, and payments.
• Oversee permit closeout to support milestones and audits.
• Lead a network of local permit expeditors and monitor performance.
• Build relationships with municipalities and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with Construction, Architecture, and Engineering on submissions.
