Job summary

La La Land Cafe is seeking an Architect in Dallas to support the Architecture and Development team by producing and managing design documentation for new cafe locations and remodels, under the Director of Architecture.

You will develop drawings, coordinate with drafting partners, ensure code compliance, assist permitting, and collaborate with interior design on layouts and finish packages, with opportunities to influence a fast-growing cafe brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 2–5 years of commercial architecture experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural drawings and documentation for new store openings and remodels, applying brand standards.
• Coordinate with third-party drafting partners to keep documents on schedule.
• Review drawings for code compliance and alignment with brand standards.
• Support permitting by preparing and revising plans for jurisdictional requirements.
• Collaborate with the interior design team on layouts and finish packages.
• Assist with site visits to assess conditions and address construction questions.
• Maintain and update standard details, specifications, and prototype plans.

About the Role

La La Land Cafe is growing from 40+ locations toward 100+ cafes across multiple states. The Architect will support the Architecture and Development team in producing and managing design documentation for new cafe locations and remodels, working under the direction of the Director of Architecture.

What You'll Do

• Develop architectural drawings and documentation for new store openings and remodels, applying LLLC's prototype and brand standards
• Coordinate with third-party drafting partners to keep construction documents accurate and on schedule
• Review drawings for code compliance and consistency with brand and prototype standards
• Support permitting efforts by preparing and revising plans as needed for jurisdictional requirements
• Collaborate with the interior design team on layouts and finish packages
• Assist with site visits to assess conditions and address construction questions
• Help maintain and update standard details, specifications, and prototype plans

Requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial architecture; retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience a plus
• Working knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Comfortable collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, growing organization
