Job summary

Lennar in Fort Myers, FL is hiring a Permit Coordinator to oversee the Starts Process across the division office. You will develop panels, collect paperwork, submit for approvals and permits, and enter data into JD Edwards screens, requiring strong organization and attention to detail.

In this role you will coordinate with engineers, architects and municipalities, manage start packages, and track permit status from approval to closing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of permitting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and plot plans.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Obtain documents from engineers and architects to facilitate permit applications.
• Obtain required approvals for permits and liaise between the company and municipalities.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to agencies or boards with jurisdiction.
• Review division plans for correct revision dates and start packages.
• Coordinate paperwork with outside consultants as necessary.
• Submit paperwork for permits, enter permitting data, and prepare start packages.
• Work with municipalities to track permit status and timeliness.
• Produce and maintain schedules from approval to final permitting stages.
• Schedule meetings and manage appointments.
• Maintain company files for site plan applications, approvals, licenses and permits.
• Meet with county board and attend hearings to present projects and seek approval.
