Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in building construction, engineering, architecture or related field.
• Four years of technician level experience in architectural/construction/engineering fields.

Responsibilities

• Issue or deny building permits following laws and policies.
• Research, analyze, interpret and apply residential and commercial construction codes.
• Coordinate with owners, agents, contractors, and designers to prepare documentation and inspections.
• Calculate permit fees and enter data; develop reports documenting actions taken.
