Job summary

Lennar is seeking a dedicated Permit Coordinator to manage the Starts Process at the division office. You will gather documents, submit permit applications, and enter data across JD Edwards screens.

The role requires strong organization and the ability to juggle multiple tasks related to starting a home in Lennar’s system. Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, architects, and consultants, obtaining approvals from municipalities, and maintaining schedules from approval to final

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 1 year of permitting experience with single/multi-family housing preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize and take initiative.
• Detail-oriented team player comfortable in a fast-paced work environment with heavy workload.

Responsibilities

• Obtain documents from engineers and architects to facilitate permit applications.
• Liaise with municipalities to obtain approvals for permits.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to agencies and boards with jurisdiction.
• Review plans for revision dates and start packages for accuracy.
• Coordinate paperwork with outside consultants as needed.
• Submit paperwork for permits and input permitting data.
• Work with municipalities to track permit status and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain schedules for all communities and coordinate from approval to permitting stages.
• Schedule meetings and appointments as required.
• Maintain files related to site plan applications, approvals, licenses and permits.
• Attend hearings and present projects for approvals.
