Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Permit Coordinator to oversee and perform permitting of all accounts in the local area, including preparing permit packets, submitting applications, and coordinating with engineers and clients to minimize turnaround time.

This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with AutoCAD/Geomedia, and the ability to read blueprints in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 5 years of permitting experience in road right-of-way and permit drawings.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Geomedia platforms.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Able to read blueprints and plot plans.
• Detail-oriented team player in a fast-paced environment with heavy workload.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate permits with peers on schedule, delivery, and status.
• Obtain documents from engineers to facilitate applications.
• Act as liaison between company and client for permit approvals.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to agencies.
• Review plans for correct revision dates and permit details.
• Enter permitting data and maintain files.
