The City of Flagstaff is seeking a specialist-level staff member to handle front-counter duties and support permit processing for Building Inspection, Engineering, and Planning & Zoning. You will review submittals for completeness, answer routine technical questions, and ensure accurate, timely processing to support public service goals.

This role emphasizes high public interaction within the Community Development department, offering opportunities to assist in plan review, permitting, and data

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• One year of experience performing increasingly responsible administrative work with computer software.
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Provides technical information regarding locations for utilities to contractors, citizens, and professionals.
• Performs data entry and assists in development review processes and notices.
