Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a Development Technician I to support the development process by assisting citizens, construction industry professionals, and City staff with building, engineering, and fire development services, including permitting and fee inquiries.

You will review plans, accept applications, issue permits, explain procedures, answer questions, and track permits through to completion, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while providing excellent customer service in a municipal

Qualifications

• Have experience using a Permit Tracking System.

• Have experience with cash handling/payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Accept and review building plans and permit applications.
• Issue permits and explain city processes to customers.
• Respond to questions and concerns from the public and applicants.
• Track permit applications through to completion and monitor process accuracy.
• Perform other duties to support department operations.
