Job summary

Spiniello Companies in Washington, DC area is seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to support complex utility construction projects across the DC, MD, and VA region. You will manage the permitting process from application through final approval, coordinating with project managers, schedulers, clients, and agencies to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience managing permits, preferably within utility or civil construction.
Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of construction scheduling practices.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Prepare, submit, and manage occupancy, construction, and utility permit applications.
Track permit applications through the approval process and proactively follow up with permitting agencies.
Coordinate with state, local, and municipal agencies to facilitate timely permit approvals.
Assist with permit-related cost estimates during the proposal and preconstruction process.
