Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC seeks an Associate Permit Coordinator to manage full lifecycle of project permitting. You will serve as the central contact for regulatory inquiries, tracking submissions across local, state, and federal jurisdictions for engineering projects.

The role requires strong organization, proactive problem-solving, and meticulous record-keeping under pressure, with locations in Lake Mary, FL or Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Right-of-way, city and DOT permitting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years administrative support or customer service.
• Prolonged sitting at a desk and computer use; lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for permit inquiries.
• Research and prepare permit applications for submission.
• Track permit status through approval and construction processes.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure permit compliance.
• Maintain meticulous records and respond to client inquiries on status.
