Job summary

SJRC Texas invites an experienced Permanency Specialist to join our Crystal City/Eagle Pass program. This hybrid role focuses on promoting child well-being within the Permanency Program, managing a caseload of permanency placements, and coordinating with public and private agencies to achieve timely, safe outcomes for children.

The ideal candidate will travel up to 95% of the time, support adoption planning, and collaborate with Foster Care and Adoption staff to ensure high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in child welfare or related field required, or 60 credits with two years of relevant experience.
• Travel up to 95% including driving to various sites.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role with periodic in-person tasks and on-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Promotes well-being of children in the Permanency Program.
• Manages a caseload of Permanency placements after removal from homes.
• Coordinate with public and private agencies involved in Permanency and Adoption services.
• Plan for permanency and mentor caregivers in safe, nurturing environments.
• Maintain case records and prepare required reports and data.
