Job summary

ShopRite of Stratford is seeking a Perishables Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to work with the General Store Manager in directing all store functions and associates. You will focus on improving customer experience, driving sales and profitability, and building a positive culture within the Perishables department.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety and quality standards, ensuring proper merchandising, coaching staff, and maintaining operational efficiency to win in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to make decisions to improve business results based on data.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to perform basic math and computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise store functions with focus on sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement.
• Drive culture of continuous improvement in perishable departments.
• Enforce safety policies, training, and compliance with regulations.
• Lead onboarding and training for new associates; mentor and coach staff.
• Maintain store presentation, pricing accuracy, and product availability.
