Job summary

ShopRite of Clinton in Clinton, CT is seeking a Perishables Assistant Store Manager to work with the General Store Manager directing all store functions and Associates to meet sales, profit, Customer Experience, and engagement goals.

The role emphasizes creating a culture of continuous improvement, driving department efficiency, and executing merchandising standards to win in a competitive market. Minimum qualifications include English literacy, basic math, and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to make decisions to improve business results based on data available
• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
• Ability to perform basic computer functions
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all store functions with the General Store Manager to achieve sales, profit, Customer Experience and Associate Engagement goals.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement to positively impact Customer experience and Associate morale.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across the Perishables department.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to Store Team members to achieve performance targets.
• Lead onboarding and training for new Associates and support merchandising and display standards.
