Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department team member to provide quality customer service, maintain product levels, and support day-to-day operations in the Perishable Department. You will handle receiving, stocking, and displaying perishable goods, while adhering to food safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills and a willingness to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Assist and be courteous to fellow associates.
• Understand and use store tools such as inventory and ordering systems.
• Receive deliveries, rotate and store products properly.
• Ensure department products are stocked and displayed per guidelines.
• Maintain meat, dairy, frozen, and perishable items to quality standards.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
