• Proficient computer and math skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipping department, establish procedures, and adjust to meet schedules and budget objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day activities for efficient transportation and storage of materials.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; provide constructive feedback and performance management.
• Enforce safety policies and PPE usage to maintain a zero accident culture.
• Ensure docks and storage facilities are organized and compliant with guidelines.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet location goals and learn union contracts if applicable.
