Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department Manager in North Charleston, SC. You will oversee the Perishable Department, hire and develop staff, and drive toward budgeted sales and efficiency goals.

You will lead a team to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and department presentation. Strong communication with management and associates is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Willing to learn multiple tasks and systems.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must be certified Food Safety Manager or obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring and developing staff
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals
• Daily labor management and coaching for productivity
• Provide leadership aligned with guiding principles and strategy
• Support budgeted financial and operating results
• Deliver exceptional customer service and positive shopping experience
• Ensure department appearance, safety, and sanitation
