Job summary

Food Lion in Scotland Neck, NC is seeking a Perishable Department Manager to lead the perishable team and drive customer service excellence. You will hire, train and coach department associates while ensuring inventory accuracy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Oversee daily labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion values and store strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
