Food Lion in Columbia, SC is seeking a capable Perishable Department Manager to support store operations, lead the team, and drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will hire, train and develop department associates, manage labor, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

You will collaborate with the store leadership to meet budgeted goals, optimize product presentation, control costs, and deliver fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and direct others.

• Manage the Perishable Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Daily labor management and coaching to achieve productivity.

• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure fast, friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Control store expenses through ordering and supplies management.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and department appearance standards.
• Coordinate scheduling, inventory, and use of company tools.
