Job summary

Food Lion in Staunton, VA is seeking a Perishable Department team member to provide quality customer service, maintain product standards, and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink.

You will receive deliveries, stock, and rotate perishables, while ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company policies. The role involves using ACIS/CAO tools and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and stock merchandise.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department areas (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, etc.).
• Follow Food Lion safety guidelines and report accidents as required.
