Job summary

Food Lion in Richlands, VA is seeking a Perishable Department Associate to provide quality customer service, maintain product levels in meat, dairy, and other perishables, and help ensure inventory accuracy and safe handling.

You will receive deliveries, rotate stock, assist with displays, follow Food Lion policies and safety guidelines, and complete required CBT training and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic customer service in the Perishable Department to create a positive shopping experience.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store stock.
• Maintain proper product levels in meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy and other perishables.
• Follow policies and guidelines for ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain safety standards.
