Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main OR at Memorial Hermann Katy. This full-time role runs 11am-7:30pm, Monday–Friday, with call required. CST and BLS are required; ortho experience is a plus.

The position provides expert perioperative patient care, assists the surgeon as a scrub, and follows RN supervision to ensure safe, efficient procedures in the OR.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS current and NBSTSA or NCCT certification
• Experience/Knowledge/Skills: New Grad <1 year; Surg Tech I =1 year; Surg Tech II = 2-4 years; Surg Tech III = 5+ years

Responsibilities

• Supports goals of unit and facilitates operations as a scrub assistant in the OR
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and assists with patient care for elective and emergency procedures
• Verifies availability of supplies/instruments and maintains sterile practices
• Promotes safe, compassionate and efficient care within department policies
