Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for Elective Services on a full-time basis. The role involves 3 x 12-hour shifts (10:30am–11pm) with days varied and a requirement to be on call.

CST and BLS certification are required, with 5+ years of surgical tech experience preferred. Elective services cover ENT, OMF, eyes, general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics and robotics.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certification: BLS and NBSTSA or NCCT as core credentials.
• Experience: 5+ years of surgical tech preferred.
• Specialties: ENT, OMF, Eyes, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Bariatrics and Robotics.

Responsibilities

• Delivers proficient perioperative patient care.
• Acts as scrub assistant to the physician during procedures.
• Maintains asepsis and readiness of instruments and supplies.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports unit goals.
• Delivers compassionate, safe and efficient patient experiences.
