Virtua Health in South Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide basic care services, including patient and equipment transport, room cleaning, light maintenance and linen management on a 2nd shift schedule. The role offers a full 40-hour work week and on-site employment.

Responsibilities include assisting with supply deliveries from the warehouse, OR turnover support, and adherence to safety and body mechanics policies.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience/skills preferred.
• Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Training/Certifications/Licensure: BLS Certification.

Responsabilités

• Prioritizes OR suite cleaning for room turnover and cleans common areas within the perioperative area using prescribed procedures.
• Assists with transferring, transporting and positioning of patients while using correct body mechanics.
• Assists in OR set-up for each case, moves essential equipment into the room and cleans up after cases.
• Transports and handles essential equipment per policies and procedures.
• Stocks shelves and linen, supports warehouse supply organization daily.
