Job summary

Valley Baptist - Harlingen Hospital in Harlingen, TX seeks a perioperative environmental services worker to perform direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting under the direction of the RN and OR staff.

This role includes terminal cleaning of the operating room, restocking supplies, transporting specimens, and adhering to PPE and safety protocols. Eligibility for benefits varies by location; E-Verify and related employment practices apply where required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 6 months of related experience
• Certifications: AHA BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepares rooms for new patients.
• Cleans and re-makes patient stretchers and beds and responsible for assigned areas for restocking and cleanliness.
• Participates in OR suite turnovers between cases.
• Delivers specimens, labs, blood to and from OR.
• Transport patients as directed by a nurse.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required per policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
