Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Perioperative Support Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting under the supervision of the charge nurse and OR staff. The role includes maintaining a clean, safe environment and assisting with turnovers between cases.

Responsibilities include terminal cleaning of the operating room, preparing rooms for new patients, restocking, and transporting specimens, labs, blood, and patients as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Preferred: 6 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Perioperative setting under RN/OR staff.
• Help maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with OR turnovers between cases.
• Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepare rooms for new patients.
• Deliver specimens, labs, and blood to and from the OR; assist with patient transport as directed.
