Job summary

Denver Health is seeking a Periop Support Technician for the daytime shift to join the Operating Room Pav M team. You will transport patients to the Preoperative and PACU areas, assist with positioning, and support sterile processing and nursing staff to ensure readiness for procedures.

The role involves maintaining a sterile environment, inventory management, operation of sterilization equipment, and participation in emergency responses under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation of patients to the Preoperative area and from the PACU area, assist with lifting, positioning and transferring patients as needed.
• Communicate with Sterile Processing and circulating nurses regarding equipment and supplies.
• Check, clean, and restock all assigned areas and return items to appropriate locations.
