Job summary

St. Mary-Corwin in Pueblo, CO is hiring a Perioperative Support Specialist to help keep PACU, OR, and GI Lab running smoothly under RN guidance.

You will support patient flow, assist with prep and safe transport, and help maintain equipment, rooms, and supplies, contributing to a safe and organized perioperative environment.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions accurately to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
• Excellent communication and English literacy.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between departments and on discharge.
• Assist in cleaning, sterilization, setup and maintenance of equipment.
• Clean operating room suites between cases.
• Assist with terminal cleaning of operating room as requested.
• Restock and organize equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Prepare room for the next patient.
